TRADITION - ENDURING DESIGN
All too often, traditional design and craftsmanship have been ignored by those who
consider innovation to be the primary benchmark of good design. We believe that
tradition and innovation are interdependent, and disregard for one only weakens the
other. Innovation remains arbitrary without tradition as its touchstone.
Traditional design, by its nature is living - deeply rooted, but not static. And authentic
innovation must emerge from within our rich heritage, not in ignorance of it. Otherwise,
communities risk losing the shared sense of their built environment.
At Integration Design Group we approach each project with a respect for the history,
context, and traditions of the people we serve - particularly in those communities that
are heirs to long-standing and venerable religious traditions. In all our projects we seek
to establish new work that is firmly rooted in history, built for today, and which will
endure for many years to come.
